With the weather finally heating up, more families are heading outside… camping, cottaging, picnics and road trips. Here at Aurora, we offer a wide variety of ready to eat antipastos that are a perfect accompaniment to any family outing. Some of these include spicy antipasto calabrese (a spicy mix of hot peppers, cauliflower, carrots, celery, eggplants, onions, olives, fennel, cucumbers, tomatoes and capers), hot or sweet pickled eggplants, hot or sweet giardiniera ( a garden mix of carrots, celery, cauliflower, olives, sweet peppers, gherkins, and onions), green asparagus, hot or sweet marinated mushrooms, marinated artichokes and roasted red peppers. Serve them right out of the jar with fresh bread or with our corn or whole wheat crostini; cook some pasta until al dente, open a jar of antipasto calabrese (for a little spice) or hot or sweet giardiniera and toss together; or add the marinated artichokes, roasted red peppers (cut into pieces) and tuna in olive oil to your pasta for another delicious, easy and crowd pleasing pasta salad. The possibilities are endless!

    Hello,

I am looking at the Nutrition Facts for your imported product – Mare Nostro Solid Light Tuna in Olive Oil. It states that there is no Sodium (salt) in the product. This does not seem possible (see ingredient list). Is this an error? If so, could you let me know that actual amount of sodium as I am on a low sodium diet.

    Thanks,

    john

    Dear Mr. Cunningham
Sorry it has taken so long to reply but I had to get an answer from my supplier in Italy and they took a long time. I finally received an email today from them. They told me that you are correct the label is wrong and they are going to change it for our next shipment. The sodium content is .65g per tin. I am really sorry for this error, and hope that you will continue to support Aurora products.

Hello, I used to purchase Aurora diced tomatoes at Great Canadian Superstores (Loblaw). They don’t seem to carry them anymore. Please provide a list of your retailer in the Toronto/Durham Region areas. Thanks.

You should still be able to get them at the Great Canadian Superstores. Also, this is one of our top selling products and most stores that carry our products will have the Diced tomatoes. You can go to our website and use our product locator to find a retailer in your area. Just put in your address and the stores in your area will come up on the map. If nothing comes up zoom out of the map so it covers a larger area and more options will come up. Hope this helps.

I’d love to see recipes on your website. I bought some Aurora polenta and came to your website looking for recipes to make with it. If you don’t have anyone to write them for you send me an e-mail. I would be happy to develop some for you.

    Hi Frances
We do have recipes on our website. If you go under the Recipe tab and click on “Recipe Book ‘09″ you will get a downloadable PDF file with some of our recipes.

We are always looking to add recipes so if you would like to send us your favourite recipes using Aurora products we would love to have them.

Thank you for supporting Aurora products,

    I remain,
    Yours truly
