Lemon Spaghetti with Mackerel Fillets

    • 450 grams Aurora Spaghetti

    • Aurora Coarse Sea Salt

    • 300 grams Allessia Mackerel Fillets

    • freshly ground black pepper

    • 2/3 cup Aurora Extra Virgin Olive Oil

    • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

    • 2 lemons, zest and juice

    • 1 garlic clove, finely grated

    • 1/4 cup Aurora Hot and Spice Bread Crumbs

    • Fresh dill

    Serving Ideas: Adding a little freshly grated Parmigiano will give it a nice salty kick!

  • Cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted water to package directions.

    While the pasta cooks, strain the mackerel and plate. Drizzle with EVOO, season with pepper, then top with lemon zest, juice, and fresh dill.

    In a large bowl, whisk together garlic, remaining lemon zest and juice, black pepper, a pinch of salt, and olive oil.

    Add cooked pasta, ½ cup pasta water, and butter to the bowl; toss well to combine.

    Transfer to a serving dish, drizzle with lemon sauce, and top with breadcrumbs and dill. Serve with mackerel fillets.
